Alyssa maintains a telehealth private practice based out of La Jolla, CA. She utilizes best practices tailored to each client based on their goals, history, and individual needs.
Previously, Alyssa served as the Director of Parenting and School-Based Programs at the Southerm California Counseling Center (SCCC) in Los Angeles. She also held the position of Group and Individual/Family Therapist at Casa Serena, an intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment center with locations in San Francisco and Concord, CA. She has led a wide range of therapeutic groups and has also spoken regularly on the topic of eating disorders and disordered eating at schools and training centers throughout Southern California.
Alyssa is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology. She is also a member of the Clinical Advisory Board for STAR Institute, the premier research center for adults and children who experience sensory differences or SPD (Sensory Processing Disorders). Alyssa volunteers at the Southern California Counseling Center (SCCC), a non-profit community mental health center, as an individual supervisor for Associate MFTs.
Alyssa holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a B.F.A from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a certificate in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Alyssa resides with her husband, two children, and two rescue cats in La Jolla, CA.
